2025-2026 Team 220 Info Sheet

Team Name: Project 220 (Second to None)

Purpose: To foster and cultivate our athletes’ capabilities built on leadership, creativity, trust, & camaraderie. As a traveling team, our athletes receive the best competition simulations and training, visiting various gyms and assembling a vast variety of styles, movements, holds, and vocabulary. The best athletes think outside the box. We are spearheading and reinventing what it means to be and train like a competitive athlete. This is the start of something great. And of something huge.

Expectations & Requirements:

First and foremost, we emphasize that it is essential for our athletes to uphold the utmost respect and accountability. Our community has graciously offered us a way to continue doing what we love, together. Let’s keep it that way.

  • We require athletes to compete in TWO (Sport & Bouldering) or ALL disciplines (Sport, Speed, & Bouldering)

  • We expect athletes to qualify AND attend Youth Regionals or higher.

  • We require athletes to wear team uniforms to ALL USAC-sanctioned events.

  • We require athletes to wear and use our sponsored products (chalk bags, swag, etc.)

  • We require athletes to own their own gear (shoes, chalk, harness, rope, gri-gris, etc.)

  • We require commitment, grit, and dedication. Please respect one another continuously past this chapter of our journey.

Price Breakdown:

$325/month (with opportunity for scholarships within the program)

  • Discounted Founding Membership for our future facility and its programs!

  • State of the art Coaching.

  • REAL Competition Scenarios & Preparation.

  • Collaboration with Youth Teams in the area.

  • Full access to the facility during team hours.

  • Half coverage to “Travel Gyms” (gyms not included in our roster).

  • Consistent route setting catered to our athletes at NJRG & Movement Valhalla.

  • Training plans catered directly to the athlete’s needs. 

  • Granting Athletes the responsibility of being a leader and experimenting with their capability (competing, route setting, coaching)

  • Creative thinking and trailblazers for the future of climbing.

  • Scholarships to waive/reduce program fees.

  • Complimentary 1:1s with Coach Siri or Austin once a month.

  • Constant overall feedback loop.

  • Outdoor Trips!

Competitions & Events:

These are events that we encourage our athletes to attend. You don’t need to attend all events, just the ones we mention as non-negotiables.

  • USAC Sanctioned Events

  • Unaffiliated USAC Themed Events (U13 Champs, Mock Regionals, etc.)

  • Local Competitions (Dark Horse, Cliffs Cups, etc.)

Non-negotiable Events:

  • Selected Youth QEs (Youth Regionals, Divisionals, Nationals, & Worlds)

  • Youth Championship Events

  • Selected Local Comps

Coaches:

All coaches are trained in every aspect and receive consistent mentorship in order to stay at the cutting edge of Coaching & Competitive Climbing.

In The Works:

Scholarship Program:

  • 220 “Scholarships” are a way to help ease the expenses of joining our competitive program.

  • All situations vary. Those with strong character, grit, and determination will be in the running for potential scholarships upon request. 

  • We look for character before results. 

Mentorship Program:

  • All U17s will have a U19/20 to mentor.

  • All U15s will have a U17 mentor.

  • All U13s will have a U15 mentor.

  • This is to ensure that we foster a community built on trust, communication, leadership, and camaraderie. We believe in understanding concepts through teaching and collaboration. Come for the climbing, stay for the community. 

Sponsorship Program:

  • All athletes who podium in USAC Youth Championship events (Regionals, Divisionals, Nationals) will be rewarded a reimbursement on their admission fee upon bringing their bags onto the podium.

  • All athletes who podium in an OPEN Local Competition will be rewarded a reimbursement of their admission fee upon bringing their bags onto the podium.

  • The idea is to treat our athletes like professionals. If you want to be treated professionally, we will treat you professionally.
